-Peninsula School District, Position 4-
RE-ELECT LESLIE HARBAUGH
Continuing to serve students!

As a member of the School Board for Peninsula School District for the past three and half years, I have loved being able to serve our community by being an advocate for the quality education our kids deserve. Now I’m running for re-election because I want to continue devoting my time to making a positive impact in the lives of the students, staff, and families served by our district.
During my time on the board we have seen many changes—the most exciting of which is the passing of the recent school bond! Thanks to the generosity of our community, we are now in the process of building four elementary schools to address our immediate overcrowding issues. I continue to support and advocate for policies and initiatives which focus on educating the "whole child" to ensure every student is safe, healthy, engaged, supported, and challenged.
I first got involved in the Peninsula School District when my daughter entered Artondale Elementary 16 years ago. She is now a happy and engaged junior at the University of Washington studying marine biology. I’m grateful for the incredible education my daughter received through our district, and for the way it prepared her for a bright future.

I believe the best way to close the achievement gap is to use the right data to help inform our decisions to ensure our programs and initiatives which support ALL types of learners and continue to explore new program opportunities with limited financial resources.
My goal continues to be to provide ALL students—no matter what type of learner they are—with the tools they need to be successful after graduation. I also believe in supporting staff through professional development to ensure they have the tools necessary to successfully navigate the ever-changing education landscape.
With your support, I can continue the work that I love and make a difference in our community. Thank you!
